Travel Journal

Summertime Hiatus

Every Summer since the kids were babes, ‘my place’ is Byron Bay. It’s where I down tools for the year just gone, recharge for a few weeks and enjoy precious family time without life’s usual demands. We often walk along the beach to The Pass and watch the Surfers from the top of the Lookout. The view to the right is the famous Wategos Beach, another favourite track which leads up to the Lighthouse taking in some spectacular views. The birds often sit on the branches of this tree, just watching the happenings of the ocean, taking it all in, as am I.
