Travel Journal

Far North Queensland Roadtrip

A month off to travel north up the Queensland coastline from Brisbane to Cape Tribulation is one of our favourite family travel memories. We tented most of the way with the occasional more fancy accommodation. On the way home we drove via the Atherton Tablelands. The evergreen surrounds of this area really are superb.  Towards Innisfail, located within Wooroonooran National Park, is the Mamu Rainforest Canopy Walkway set in the World Heritage Daintree Rainforest, with sweeping views out to the mountains. The richness in the colours of the tree leaves and out to the mountains are quite spectacular. It’s a lot to take in.
